Daniel "Danny" L. Kinney, Sr.

Daniel “Danny” L. Kinney, Sr., 73 of Salem passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020 at his residence with family by his side.

Danny was born November 24, 1946 in Clarksburg, WV, son of the late Clyde Junior and Juanema Florence Davis Kinney. 

Danny served his country in the United States Navy. He retired as a truck driver for MEC Construction.  He loved horses and trucking. He was an amazing artist.  He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and Disabled American Veterans. Danny never met a stranger and would do anything to help anyone.    

Danny is survived by his wife of fifty one years, Sharon Melvin Kinney whom he married October 5, 1968; three children, April Heather Golden and Bobby Salem, Daniel Lee Kinney Jr and Sandi, Hollywood, MD, David Scott Nutt Jr., Salem; grandchildren, Katie Kinney, Lexi Kinney and Mathew Golden, several aunts, uncles, cousins and many many friends he made over the years.

Due to the Covid 19 – We will be having a Drive-Thru Viewing for the safety of the family and the community we service at Davis Funeral Home, 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 from 2:00-7:00 PM. Private Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Greathouse Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dennis Napier officiating where full military honors will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and the US Navy Honor Guard. We will be webcasting the private service on his memorial page on the funeral home website. If for some reason the webcast drops we will finish recording and reload once completed to watch.
