Earl Scott “Scottie” Richards, 38 of Salem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at his residence. He was born December 24, 1980 in Clarksburg, WV the son of Darrell R. and Frances Christine Cummings Richards of Salem.
Scott graduated from Doddridge County High School, Class of 1999. He worked previously as a crane operator and most recently in the oil and gas industry. He loved riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, spending time with his family and children and he loved going to the Florida home to enjoy the beach.
Scott is survived by his spouse, Ashley Nichol Morris; three children, Trenten Scott, Ayden Kohl, and Trinity Elizabeth Richards all of Salem; one stepdaughter, Adrianna Nicole Bonnell of Salem; two siblings, Chad Richards, and Tonya Terry; paternal grandfather, Earl Richards, Salem; one nephew and two nieces; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Scott is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Jean Jarvis Richards; and maternal grandparents, Virgil and Bonnie Rogers Cummings.
Family will receive friends at Greathouse Funeral Home, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 2-7pm and on Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 12:00 Noon until time of Funeral Service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Chad Ash and Jon Hayes presiding. Interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
