James “Jim” Frederick Patch Sr, 67 of Salem passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020 at the Salem Center with family by his side. He was born October 31, 1952 in West Palm Beach, FL, son of the late James “Pete” Edward and Mary Helene Foster Patch. Jim graduated from Kecoughtan High School in Hampton, VA. He worked construction being a roofer and handyman for many years. He enjoyed collecting coins, cards and fishing. He is survived by his wife Brenda Sue Bryant Patch; two children, Mary Tianna Patch, South Fort Myers, FL, and James “J.P.” Frederick Patch Jr, Parkersburg; three siblings, Tom Patch, Patrick Patch and Sheila Vanmeter. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, John Whitehurst. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
