Alford Beaurl Swiger

Alford Beaurl Swiger, 67, of West Union departed this life on January 27, 2011. He was born on November 22, 1943 in Doddridge County a son of the late Wayman Beaurl and Edna Ellen Ford Swiger. On November 29, 1985 he married Carolyn Kyger Swiger who survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Melody Myers, York, PA, three step daughters, Pab Benner, Karen Steely, both of York, PA, Dru Onie Stoner, West Union, one step son, Kevin Viands, York, PA, seven grandsons, two granddaughters, one great granddaughter, one brother, Larry Dale Swiger, three sisters, Carol L. Bennett, Barbara A. Ash and Linda D. Nutter and several nieces and nephews. Three brothers, Donald Herb, Leonard and Dennis Swiger preceded him in death.

Mr. Swiger was retired from Harley Davidson Motorcycle Company, York, PA with 28 years of service. He enjoyed small engine repair, hunting and riding 4-wheelers. Alford was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Memorial services will be held in the Welcome Baptist Church,( Big Battle) on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 2:00PM.
