Arthur “Bud” Wright Cullers, 87, of Salem, WV, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023 at his residence. He was born on April 7, 1935 in Bayard, WV, the son of late Paul Welton and Josephine Blackburn Cullers.
Bud graduated from Southern County Senior High School, Oakland, MD and is a retired veteran from the United States Navy. He enjoyed woodworking, trading and selling antiques. He loved hunting, fishing, and trapping. He was proud of his Country and he was a staunch republican.
Bud is survived by two children, Tanya Cullers-Humble and husband Johnny, Kernersville, NC, and George Cullers of Salem; three grandchildren, Keith Cullers and Danielle, Justin Gibson, and Lindsie Gibson; two great-grandchildren, Chloe Cullers and Elson Cullers; five siblings, George Cullers of Hastings, MI, Sue Beach of Hastings, MI, Dan Cullers of Battle Creek, MI, Linda Gibson and husband Sam of Bryson City, NC, and Grace Gulch and husband Steve of Middleville, MI; one brother-in-law, Dale Ruckle, Thomas; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Jo Ruckle; one brother, Bob Cullers; sister-in-law, Donna Cullers; and brother-in-law, Joe Beach.
Graveside Service will be at WV National Cemetery, 42 Veterans Memorial Ln, Grafton, WV 26354 on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 1:00pm with military honors accorded by the United States Navy Honor Guard and Harrison County Honor Guard.
