Barbara Ann Brown, 62 of Salem passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at home following an extended illness. She was born on September 13, 1949 in Clarksburg a daughter of Helen Carder McIntyre, Salem and the late James McIntyre.
Surviving is her husband of nearly 45 years Ralph Brown whom she married on November 16, 1967, one son, William D. Brown and wife Sandy, West Milford, one daughter, Cheryl L. Brown Herrod and companion, Mike Hinzman, Bridgeport, three grandchildren, Marlee Ann Herrod and fianc Clayton Hickman Jr., Matthew Aubrey Herrod and fianc Haley Richards and Madison Paige Brown, great grandson, Matthew Aubrey Herrod II, one brother, James S. Buddy McIntyre and wife Deborah, Lost Creek, one sister, Joanna Jones, Wolf Summit and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara was previously employed by All Star Grocery, Reynoldsville for several years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister who enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog Spot. Barbara enjoyed living in the country and spending time outdoors. The Brown family would like to acknowledge Peoples Hospice for their kind professional care of Barbara and for being there when they were needed. Flowers are appreciated; however contributions may be made to Peoples Hospice in Barbaras memory.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 11AM with Pastor Robert Metz presiding. Interment will follow in the K of P Memorial Park, Salem. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 2-8PM.
