Barbara Sue Robinson, 82, born January 2, 1941, in Salem, WV departed for her heavenly home on November 7, 2023 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
Barbara is survived by her 5 children and 2 stepchildren Kim Bell (Randy) of Rockwell, Timothy Pratt and John Pratt of WV, Pam Brothers (Raye) of Mount Ulla, Michael Robinson (Chandra) of Ohio, Oliver Robinson (Jamie) of California and Jacquie Hinson (Eric) of Salisbury. 22 Grandchildren and 36 Great Grandchildren, she also leaves behind siblings Carol Benjamin (Neil), Nila Specht (Joe), Robin Baker (Marty), and Kevin Boyce (Edna).
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gene Pratt and George Robinson, Parents Earl Glover and Bonnie Boyce, 5 brothers, one Sister, and Grandchildren Timothy Gene Pratt, Kimberly Vernice, and Barbie Sue Pratt.
Barbara’s home was the center of her family's world, and she was the center of theirs. A prolific green thumb, the fruits of her labor were used to teach multiple generations the skills of shucking corn, snapping beans, and canning anything possible. A skilled seamstress and quiltmaker, her creations can be found and cherished in the homes of every member of her family. Once the preparations were done her cooking skills and hospitality kept anyone near with a full belly and a warm heart.
A private family viewing will precede a funeral service being held November 12th, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 200 Clearview Rd Cleveland NC 27013. A second service will occur on November 18th, 2023, at Davis Funeral Home, 1999 W. Main St. Salem West Virginia 26426 from 11:00 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm.
