Bertha Ann Mish

Bertha Ann Mish, 77, of Center Point, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024 in Morgantown at Ruby Memorial Hospital.  She was born on April 20, 1946 on Broad Run Road in Center Point, a daughter of the late John McCarty, Jr.  and Sarah Louse Swiger Burkhammer.

Ann is survived by her daughter/niece and caregiver, Chandra Robinson, her aunt Hollie Ashcraft, her half-sister, Betty Randolph, her brother-in-law, Phil Jessie, her sister-in-law, Brenda Jessie, her nieces, Gina Burkhammer, Sarah Burnside, Jennifer Gibson, and Crystal Brooks; her nephews, Sean Burkhammer, Joshua Randolph, Benjamin Randolph, Gabriel Randolph and Brian Burnside.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Jessie and her second husband, Alexander Adam Mish; one brother, Kenny Burkhammer; and one sister, Patty Burnside.

Ann was a certified nursing assistant, and a cosmetologist.  She earned her Associates Degree in Folk History from Fairmont State University.  She ran the Swiger Run Pictorial History Library.  She loved quilting, bargain shopping, hunting, and trapping and also gardening.  In her younger days, she was also awarded the distinction of being the Doddridge Belle. She was a Christian and wanted to see all of her family saved.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home - Salem, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Bob Marino officiating.  Interment will follow at Center Point Cemetery.
