Beth Ann Ashcraft, 53, of Salem departed this life following a brief illness on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Beth was born on February 26, 1961 in Clarksburg; a daughter to Rachel Laughery-Childers and the late Charlie Childers. On June 3, 1982 she married the love of her life, who survives, Rodney Mark Ashcraft.
Also surviving is one daughter, Meghan Ashcraft-Moore and husband Louie, Folsom; two sons: Scott Allen Gaines and wife Amanda, Wilsonburg, Ryan Ashcraft, Clarksburg; six grandchildren: Shaine Allen Gaines, Scott Andrew Gaines, Miranda Renae Gaines, Rydar Ashcraft,
Rigley Moore and Ryela Moore; three sisters: Peggy Sue Adams, West Union, June Wilt, Salem, Julia Childers, Salem; two brothers: Charles "Buck" Childers, West Union, William "Billy" Childers, Salem; several nieces and nephews, and a special K9 grandchild, Titan.
Beth enjoyed gardening, camping, and spending time with her family; most especially her grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted in the Salem United Methodist Church on E. Main St. in Salem on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at 11:00AM with Pastor Ron Brown presiding. The family will receive friends in the church one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be extended to the family at www.harbertsfuneralhome.com and with contributions to The American Cancer Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital
