Betty Eileen Flanagan

Betty Eileen Flanagan, 85, of Patterson Road, Salem, W.Va. departed this life on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness.

She was born on February 18, 1926 at Summerdale, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clarence and Melba Homan Muhlheim.

Her husband of 62 years, Michael C. Flanagan, preceded her in death.

Surviving is one daughter, Cathy I. Moore and husband, Russell,of Salem, W.Va.; daughters-in-law, Sherry Flanagan and Mary Beth Flanagan, both of Salem, W.Va.; ten grandchildren; thirten great grandchildren; and one brother, Wayne Muhlheim, of Olmsted Falls, Ohio.

Three sons, Michael W. Little Mike Flanagan, Jimmy D. Flanagan, and Danny R. Flanagan, one infant daughter, Sherry Flanagan; and one grandson, Joe Flanagan, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Flanagan enjoyed singing, cooking and working in her flowers. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Harbert Funeral Home, 287 W. Main St., Salem, W.Va. on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Paul Boyles presiding. Interment will follow in the K of P Memorial Park, Salem. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 5-8PM and after 9AM on Wednesday until time of services.
