Betty Elizabeth Ross 70 of Raccoon Run Rd. Salem departed this life on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. She was born on January 23, 1945 at Smithfield a daughter of the late Delmar and Della Rozella Greathouse Burdine. In June of 1964 she married Clyde Elden Ross who preceded her in death.
Surviving is one daughter, Mary Leonard and husband John, Salem, one son William Ross and fianc Sarah, Salem, six grandchildren, Krystal Schreiner, Bryan Cassell, John E. Leonard, Isaac J. Leonard, Kaitlynn E. Ross, Malena L. Ross, three great grandchildren, Kevin Schreiner, Kaleb Schreiner and Jack D. Leonard, three sisters, Carlene Burdine, New Cumberland, Deborah Doak, TN, Annabelle Nelson, WV, two brothers, John Burdine, TN, Rodney Burdine, New Cumberland and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ross was a homemaker and enjoyed listening to Blue Grass Music. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 1:00PM with Pastor Denver Burnside officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem 7th Day Baptist Cemetery, Greenbrier. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 4-8PM and after 9AM on Saturday until time of service.
