Brennice A. Cole, 103 of Turkey Run Rd. Salem departed this life on Friday, January 22, 2016 in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 28, 1912 at Churchville a daughter of the late Enos and Bertha Woofter Hull. Surviving are four sons, William Henry Cole Jr.and wife Louise, James Cole and wife Rose, Ray Lewis Cole and wife Marilyn, all of Salem, Robert Gary Cole and wife Brenda, China Township, MI, 11 grandchildren, Lola Brown and husband James, Mike Cole and wife Patty, Tom Lanham, Jay Lanham and wife Robin, Tami Cole-Prezleski and husband Dan, Shelly Humes and husband Scott, Robbie Cole and wife Erica, Holly Blanchard and husband Adam, Bill Cole, Brian Cole and wife Betsy, and Janie Morris and husband Terry, 25 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, one brother, Dwain Hull, Friendship, NY, several step grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Five sisters, two brothers, one granddaughter and one great granddaughter preceded her in death.
Mrs. Cole graduated from Glenville Normal in 1934 and had taught school for 3 years. She had been a Harrison County Deputy Assessor for 11 years. She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church for over 65 years, where she had served as a deacon. Brennice was a member of the Broadwater-Woofter Sunday School Class. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1PM with Pastor Roger Fontaine and Pastor Dave Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Quiet Dell. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 3-7PM and after 11AM on Saturday until time of service. Harbert Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Cole family.
