Carson Edward Davis, 88, of Route 1, Wallace passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
He was born on June 29, 1920 on Skelton Run, Doddridge County a son of the late Clarence and Lucy May Lynch Davis. On October 7, 1949 he married Juanita L. Cain Davis who survives.
Surviving is one niece, Beth Cober and husband Randy, Morgantown, one nephew, Douglas Hutson and wife Billie, Salem, three great nephews, Dr. David Hutson and wife Jamie, Bridgeport, Ryan Hutson and wife Jessica, Wheeling, Dr. Andy Clump and wife Anne, Morgantown, three great great nephews, Derek and Garrett Hutson, Nicholas Clump, two great great nieces, Ava and Lily Clump and one sister-in-law, Lorraine Hutson, Morgantown. One brother, Isaac H. Davis, one sister-in-law, Lona K. Davis and one brother-in-law, Allen Hutson preceded him in death.
Mr. Davis was the manager of the Bridgeport Stockyard for 48 years and later worked for Weston Stockyard for 15 years. He was Baptist by faith.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 11:00AM in the Harbert Funeral Home, 287 W. Main St., Salem with Pastor Robert Merritt presiding. Interment will follow in the K of P Memorial Park, Salem. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, April 2nd from 3-8PM and after 9AM on Friday until time of service.
