Charlotte L. McClung

Charlotte L. McClung, 66 of Big Run, Salem went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday April 3, 2013 in her residence with her husband and daughter by her side. She was born on June 10, 1946 on Talkington Fork, Doddridge County a daughter of the late Willis F.Glaspell and Zelma Chipps Underwood. On April 22, 1967 she married Russell F. McClung who survives.

Also surviving is one daughter, Rusanna Ashcraft and husband Michael, Salem, one son, Charles "Bud" McClung and wife Denise, Springfield, IL, grandchildren, Chase & Ashley, Krista & Cody, Melyssa, Rebekah, Daniel, Joshua & Austin, one great grandson, Ayden and one great grandchild on the way, five sisters, Viola Glaspell, Salem, Juanita Burger, Peoria, IL, Kate McHenry, Salem, Gladys Wysocki and husband Paul, Lafferty, OH, Debbie Parsons and husband Rich, West Union, two brothers, Jim Glaspell, Salem, Keith Underwood and wife Denise, Nutter Fort and several nieces and nephews. One daughter, Melissa Sue McClung and one sister, Billie Jean Glaspell preceded her in death.

Mrs. McClung was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and loved spending time with her family and church family.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Cascara United Methodist Church, Cascara on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 1:00PM with Pastor Nathan Epling presiding. Interment will follow in the Cascara Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 4-8PM.Mrs. McClung will lie in state one hour prior to her service.
