Chesna Annette Menear, 65, of Greenwood graduated to the Big Reunion in Heaven on Monday, March 24, 2025 at United Hospital Center with family by her side. She was born September 26, 1959 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late Clyde “Junior” Maxwell and Beatrice Lee Cottrill Ford.
Chesna is survived by her husband of 42 years, James “Jim” Martin Menear whom she married on Sept 4, 1982; two sons, Dr. Michael Menear and wife Dr. Whitney, Winchester, VA, James Menear and wife Sarah, Greenwood; two grandsons, Brendan, Keegan; two siblings, Jennifer L Ford, Salem, and Clyde Maxwell Ford III and wife Kimberly, West Union; sister-in-law, Tammy Ford, Salem; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Chesna is preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Lee Ford.
Chesna graduated from Doddridge County High School, Class of 1977 and Clarksburg Beauty Academy. She was a member of Evergreen Church on Big Flint where she was a Sunday school teacher, sang in the Choir and Camp Counselor for Church Camp. Her hobbies were collecting angels, her garden, her flowers and keeping the yard looking beautiful. She loved spending time with her family and she especially loved going to sporting events of her boys and grandsons. She was also an avid WVU Mountaineer fan.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home - Salem, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 3-7PM and Friday, March 28, 2023 from 9:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bill Davis officiating.
