Clarence “Toad” Overly Pratt, 76 of West Union passed away on Friday, December 20, 2024 at his residence with family by his side. He was born January 29, 1948 in Glenville, WV, son of the late William Jennings Pratt and Zula Gertrude Hurst Pratt Ashcraft.
Toad was a glass blower for over 30 years, working at Minners Glass, Judel Glass in Salem, Louie Glass and Glass Works in Weston. Toad enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, spending time with family, especially the grandchildren.
Toad is survived by his wife of 57 years, Juanita Jackieline Hutson Pratt whom he married on October 20, 1967; one son, Ricky Lynn Pratt, West Union; four grandchildren, Tyler Jenkins (Jacklyn), Michaela Woodson (Shawn), Brandon Pratt (Destiny), and Ashley Pratt; five great grandchildren, Payton, Nora, Tristen, Miranda, and Joshua; two siblings, William “Bill” Pratt Jr (Alice) Smithburg, Goldie Hardison, Indiana; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Toad is preceded in death by four siblings, Robert “Bob” Pratt, Naomi Burke, Hona Jo Gray and Rita Lawson.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home in Salem, WV, on Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 1:00PM – 5:00 PM and on Monday, December 23, 2024 from 9:00AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00AM with Rev.
