Clavis "Stoke" Nicholas

Salem-Clavis Stoke Nicholas, 76, of Big Isaac departed this life on Friday, March 22, 2013 in the Genesis Healthcare, Salem. He was born October 2, 1936 in Doddridge County, a son of the late William Nicholas and Levada Perine Nicholas Snider.

Surviving are three daughters, Carol Davis (Greg), Salem, Lora Cease(Ralph) , Clarksburg, Misty Davis (Wayne), Clarksburg, two sons, Anthony Nicholas (Veronica), Salem, Michael Nicholas, Salem, one sister, Willadene McAtee, Nutter Fort, three brothers, Arnet Lee Nicholas, Salem, William, Buck Nicholas, Bridgeport, Junior Perine, Morgantown, grandchildren, Kristi Nicholas, Ben Nicholas, Cory Davis, Ashley Davis, Chad Keigley, Hunter Marks, Haley Davis, great grandchildren, Sethran Hall, Kate Nicholas, Cooper Nicholas, Genevieve Keigley, Reese Keigley, and Jonathon Nicholas. He was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Joe Nicholas and Jessie Nicholas.

Mr. Nicholas had worked for the Department of Highways. He made many friends wheeling and dealing. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his family.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home, 287 W. Main St., Salem on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 2PM with Peggy Williams presiding. Family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, March 27 from 12 Noon until time of service. Interment will follow in the Big Isaac Cemetery.
