Clyde Kinney Jr.91 of Cherry Camp Rd. Salem departed this life on Monday, August 15, 2016 in the Louis A. Johnson Medical Center, Clarksburg. He was born on April 5, 1925 in West Union to the late Roy Clyde and Faye Miller Kinney. His wife Juanema Davis Kinney preceded him in death.
Surviving is one son, Daniel Lee Kinney and wife Sharon, Salem, grandchildren, David Scott Nutt, Heather Kinney Golden (Bobby) Salem, Daniel Kinney Jr. (Sandi) Hollywood, MD, great grandchildren, Mathew Golden, Katie and Lexi Kinney and several nieces and nephews. One sister, Joan Kinney Jenkins, two brothers, Ralph and Ronnie Kinney preceded him in death.
Mr. Kinney was a 1943 graduate of Doddridge County High School. He had worked in the timber industry from the age of 6 and delivered milk in West Union twice a day. Clyde had also worked for Ralph B. Swiger Furniture & Hardware Store for 17 years and Tolley Electric for 22 years. He was a WWII Army veteran serving in Battery C 771st Field Artillery.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00AM with Pastor Dennis Napier presiding. Interment will follow in the K of P Memorial Park with Full Military Rites being accorded by the Combined Doddridge County Veterans Organization. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Friday, August 19, 2016 from 4-8PM and after 9AM on Saturday until time of service.
