Damon Brock Sutton

Damon Brock Sutton, 35 of Buffalo Calf Rd. Salem departed this life on Tuesday April 19, 2016 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on August 11, 1980 in Clarksburg to Gary Lynn and Katrina Burnside Sutton, Salem.Also surviving are one daughter, Mercedez Sutton, Salem, one sister, Derika Sutton, Bridgeport and several Aunts, Uncles and cousins that he was very close to and enjoyed spending time with. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Lila Burnside and paternal grandparents, George and Pauline Sutton.Damon was the joker of the family. He loved entertaining family and friends. Growing up you would see Damon riding 4-wheelers, go-carts, motorcycles and even cars in the family field with the neighbor kids and his cousins. Damon loved rocking out to 80's music and movies. His favorite band was "Metallica" and he even skipped school to attend their concert. He spent his summers camping with his family at Twin Lakes and Audra State Park. He loved animals, especially his cats, "Taupe" and "Tiger". Damon loved his daughter, Mercedez more than anything in this world. They enjoyed playing basketball, muddin' and exploring new places. However, their favorite place to go was the Dairy Queen where Damon always got a Chocolate Malt Shake.A celebration of Damon's life will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 7:00PM. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 2PM until time of service.
