David Lee Wright Jr.

David Lee Wright Jr, 59, of Salem passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025. He was born on February 2, 1966 in Elmira, NY, son of Beatrice May Haults Wright Taylor of Elizabethton, TN and the late David Lee Wright Sr. David was also preceded in death by one brother, Frankie Wright. In addition to  his mother, David is survived by his wife of 41 years, Illise Joan Peters Wright whom he married on May 4, 1984; one daughter, Anita Louisa Avery, Montour Falls, NY; one granddaughter, Sarah Avery; two siblings, Tammy Casebeer (Jerry), Paul Taylor (Donna), all of Elizabethton, TN; several nieces and nephews. David graduated from Southside High School in Elmira, NY. He was an OTR Truck driver, welder, mechanic, construction worker and jack of all trades. He enjoyed watching wrestling and monster trucks, working on cars, riding motorcycles, fishing and hunting.
