David “Dave” Allen Corathers

David “Dave” Allen Corathers, 74, of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at his residence with his wife by his side. He was born on October 26, 1949, in Clarksburg, WV, son of the late Marshall David and Jane May Corathers.

David graduated from Roosevelt-Wilson High School and served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. David worked as a meat cutter for several years last working at Young and Stout. He was a member of the Salem VFW. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

David is survived by his wife of 36 years, Juanita “Lynette” Carder Corathers; children, Telisa Kennedy and spouse Jack of NC, Leslie Jones and spouse Tom of Shinnston, Lisa Hammond of West Milford, Michelle Hammond of Fairmont, Theresa Robinson of West Union, and Clyde Hammond; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two siblings, Rex Corathers and wife Thelma of OH, and Sheila Adams of OH.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his siblings, Daniel L. Corathers, Timmy Joe Corathers, Rickey Corathers, Marsha Kay Corathers, and Bonnie Corathers.
