Delores Jean Boyle, 86, of Salem, West Virginia, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, in Fairmont at Genesis Tygart Center, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 11, 1939, in Gilmer County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Otis L. Saunders and Edith Lorentz Saunders.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Edward Francis Boyle, whom she married in 1960.
Delores is survived by her loving children, Barbara Kopp of Clarksburg, Dena Jean McDonald and her husband Doug of Morgantown, and Mike Boyle and his wife Lisa of Fairmont. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Stephanie Kopp, Stacie Bartlett, Luke Kopp, Jessica Estep, Russell McDonald, Todd Boyle, and Faith Boyle, five great-grandchildren; Max Adkins, Sadie Bartlett, Ireland McDonald, Isabella Arnett, Harbor Estep, along with two nieces and two nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Bernice Waldene Myers; two brothers, Otis Saunders and Robert Saunders; and one great-grandchild; Harper Grace.
Delores was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker who dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family. She raised her children with strong Christian values and a deep sense of faith, principles that continue to guide them today.
A graduate of Weston High School, Delores was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she generously gave her time and talents in service to her congregation.
She found great joy in painting and various arts and crafts, especially creating bead jewelry. Delores also enjoyed reading, working on Sudoku puzzles, playing solitaire, completing jigsaw puzzles, and searching for treasures at yard sales.
Delores will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her strong faith, and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and grace that will continue to live on in all who knew her.
Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home - Salem, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 3:00 - 7PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Lane, Salem, on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 10:00 AM with Father Akila Rodrigo as Celebrant.
