Dennis “Gary” Wilson

Dennis “Gary” Wilson, 72, of Salem, WV passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 15, 1952 in Barberton, Ohio, the son of the late William Dennis and Madeline Delma Stevens Wilson.

Gary graduated from South Harrison High School, Class f 1970. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Gary worked for Mitchell Drilling for 30 years. He enjoyed trout fishing, mushroom hunting, rooting on the ‘EERS and the Steelers, and shuffle board.

Gary is survived by his wife of 22 years, Patti Porter Wilson; two son, Travis Wilson and spouse April of Jane Lew and Jesse Wilson of Clarksburg; two grandchildren, Charlee Rayne Wilson and Emma Lynn Cleghorn; three siblings, Richard Wilson and spouse Wanda of Jane Lew, Carolyn Ambrose of FL and Ronald D. Wilson; nieces and nephews, Richard “Little Rick” and spouse Alicia of Jane Lew, Shelly of Jane Lew; great-nieces and nephews, Anthony and Kyle.

In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his siblings, Sharon Joyce Wilson and Florence Vanover.

Per his wishes he will be cremated.
