Denver Doyle Alderman

Denver Doyle Alderman, 91, of Salem passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Crestview Manor. He was born on September 13, 1933 in Adrian, WV, son of the James Arden and Effie May Cain Alderman. On August 2, 1955, he married Naomi Jean Romine who preceded him in death on May 8, 2022.

Denver graduated from Doddridge County High School and served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Denver retired as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed working on cars and was always fixing and remodeling the homes the family lived in. Denver was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. 

Denver is survived by his sons, Richard Alderman, West Union, Philip Alderman (Annetta), AR; two granddaughters, Abby McKee (James) and Amy Alderman; two grandsons, Aaron Alderman (Jayne) and Andrew Alderman (Suejin); great grandchildren, Mari, Imri, Simon, Aliyah, Anthony, Hadley, Alexander and Levi; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents and wife, Denver was preceded in death by his siblings, Helen Fay Armentrout, James Howard Alderman, Gerald Theaudric Alderman, Retha Alice Blagg, Evelyn Imogene Carpenter, Eugene Franklin Alderman and William Preston Alderman.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home - Salem, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, on Monday, March 24, 2025 from 3:00-7:00pm and on Tuesday,  March 25, 2025 from 9:00am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00am with Richard and Philip Alderman officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Quiet Dell.
