Diana Sue (Lincoln) Zielinski
September 14, 1946 ~ January 6, 2024 (age 77) 77 Years Old
Beloved mother and grandmother Diana Sue Zielinski (Lincoln) of Salem passed away on January 6, 2024. Born on September 14, 1946 to Gerald and Luella (Cone) Lincoln, Diana was a born and bred Pennsylvania farm girl and lovingly cared for animals her entire life. She is predeceased by her parents, several aunts and uncles, and by her longtime partner Jerald Sody. Diana is survived by her daughter, Diane (Zielinski) Sterling and her partner John Bowman, her granddaughter Amanda (Sterling) Crans and her husband Gordan Crans, and her grandson Michael Sterling.
Known for her quick wit, Diana was never one to mince words and always had a smart reply at the ready. She also was a Jill of all trades and readily adapted to any field she worked in—whether it be landscaping, bookkeeping, or working for General Electric. She sacrificed everything for her family with no expectation of repayment or thanks. One of Diana’s proudest moments in life was seeing her grandchildren go to college in pursuit of higher education and a better life for themselves.
She will be sorely missed by her family as she was not only the matriarch, but the heart and soul of her family. The family is doing a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Diana’s memory to your local animal rescues.
Davis Funeral Home and Crematory - Salem is handling the cremation and honored to serve the Zielinski family. Online condolences may be sent to www.DavisFuneralHomeSalemWV.com.
