Donald Franklin Reed

It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that I share the passing of my beloved father, Donald F. Reed, on January 13, 2025. Surrounded by his loving family in his final moments. He was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones.

Donald was born on March 18, 1963 in Clarksburg, WV, to the late Roy and Mildred Reed. He grew up in Center Point, WV where he also attended school. In his teen years, he proudly served in the National Guard. After his time in the service he became a truck driver, a career he immensely enjoyed doing for over 40 years. In his spare time, he loved spending time with friends and family. He always had the ability to make anyone smile and laugh. He was a wonderful father, cherished brother, proud grandfather and great friend.

He is survived by his daughter, Nicole (Justin) Stroup and grandchildren, Zachary and Zoey, all of Masury, OH; three sisters, Reita (Bob) Harper of Salem, WV, Linda McKinney of West Union, WV, Garnet Maze of Paducah, KY; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his brothers, James Reed, Robert Reed, and Roger Reed; also proceeding him are two nephews.

Per Donald’s request, he will be cremated.
