Edna Jean Hutson Scott Stinebiser, 91 of E. Main St. Salem went to be with her Savior on Saturday, October 1, 2016. She was born on January 21, 1925 a daughter of the late Luther and Ethel Richards Hutson. Twice married she was preceded in death by her first husband Ezra Scott Jr. and is survived by her second husband of 70 years, Lester Stinebiser.
Also surviving are one son, Larry Edward Scott, Salem two grandsons, Jason Edward Scott and Brian Todd Scott, one great grandson, Hunter Scott, one niece, Brenda Cole and husband, Bob, one nephew, Kenneth Kinney and wife Mary Lou. One sister, Imogene Kinney and one brother, Lawrence Hutson preceded her in death.
Edna was a 1942 graduate of Bristol High School. She worked for Maiden Form for 12 years as a seamstress and retired from Salem Glass as a packer. Edna had been crowned Beauty Queen of Salem. She enjoyed quilting and playing canasta. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
At Edna's request she was cremated and there will be no services. Harbert Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Stinebiser family.
