Eleanor Lou Pratt, 75, of Long Run Rd., Salem departed this life on Sunday April 24, 2016 at her residence. She was born on July 22, 1940 on Frank's Run, Doddridge Co.
to the late Homer and Opal Irene Strother Barker. Her husband Von Edward Pratt preceded her in death.
Surviving are 4 daughters, Michelle (Garth) Perkey, Fairmont, Heather Nicholson, Amber (Shane) Thompson, April (Terry) Whitehair of Salem. Grandchildren, Crystal, Dustyn, Daniel, Carey, Jaylyn, Jodi and Jordan. Great grandchildren, Dylan, Kavon, Savannah and Samarria.
Twin Sister, Evelyn (Everett) Davis, Salem, Sisters, Betty (Lendall) Yeater, Colliers, WV, Lorraine (Delbert) Moore, Salem. Brothers, Larry (Bobbie) Barker, Salem, Charles (Pam) Barker, Anmoore, WV. She was preceded in death by brothers, William Joe, Ronald, Gary, Donald and Stephen Barker and sisters, Rosa Barker, Virginia Bonnell and Dessie (Cookie) Cardeno.
Mrs. Pratt was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, canning and flowers. She was a 1959 graduate of Salem High School and was a member of the Hurst Chapel United Methodist Church and had served as church treasurer for 20+ years.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the Harbert Funeral Home, 287 W. Main St. Salem on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 1PM with Pastor Kevin Bender officiating. Interment will follow in the K of P Cemetery. The family will receive visitors in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 4-8PM and from 10AM until time of service on Thursday. Harbert Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Pratt family.
