With deep love and sadness, the family of Evangeline Mae Adams Marion announces her passing at the age of 95. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Evangeline leaves behind a legacy of quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering love for her family.

Born in Salem, West Virginia, she was the beloved daughter of Vesta Mae Adams and cherished sister of Jennings Eugene Adams and Patricia Adams. She was a proud graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1949, and carried throughout her life the warmth, kindness, and resilience that defined her generation.

Evangeline’s greatest joy was her family. She was the loving mother of seven children: Linda, Sandra, Carol, Neil, her late daughter Laura, Norman, and Lester. Her love extended deeply to her grandchildren, Jafar, Jillian, Kaitlen, Robert, and her late grandson Christopher, as well as her treasured great-grandchildren, Bradley, Ayden, Kaleb, Mila, and Brooke. She also held a special place in her heart for her many dear nieces and nephews, all of whom were blessed by her gentle spirit and caring heart.

Those who knew Evangeline will remember her warm smile, quiet wisdom, and the comforting presence she brought into every room. She lived a life rooted in family, faith, and devotion, always putting others before herself. Her home was a place of love, laughter, and acceptance, and her memory will remain a guiding light for those she leaves behind.

Family and friends will be received at Davis Funeral Home – Salem, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, WV, on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m, with Pastor Bob Marino officiating. Interment will follow at Salem I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
