Franklin Delano Roosevelt Starkey,

Franklin Delano Roosevelt Rosie Starkey, Sr., 76, of Route 1, Salem departed this life on Friday, November 12, 2010 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 4, 1934 in Doddridge County a son of the late Glen and Sylvia Richards Starkey. On February 26, 1955 he married Edna Sutton Starkey who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Susan Counts, Barbara America and husband, Junior and Brianna Richards, all of Salem, four sons, Franklin Frank Starkey, Jr. and wife Judy, Pine Grove, Rex Starkey and wife, Marilyn, Salem, Bradley Starkey, Clarksburg, Eddie Starkey, Salem, 19 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, one sister, Patty Harris, Ohio, one brother, James Starkey, Clarksburg, and several nieces and nephews. One son, Jeffrey Starkey, three sisters, four brothers and one half brother preceded him on death.

Mr. Starkey was retired from Salem Glass Company as a glass blower. He had served as a Constable in Doddridge County. Rosie enjoyed watching wrestling and fixing tires. He was a loving husband and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held in the Harbert Funeral Home, 287 W. Main St., Salem on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Kenny Lloyd presiding. Interment will follow in the Greenbrier Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Monday, November 15, 2010 from 2-8PM and after 9AM until time of service.
