Garry Boyce, Obituary

Garry Joseph Boyce Sr. 63 of Long Run, Greenwood departed this life on Friday, December 20, 2013 at the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. He was born in Doddridge County on February 1, 1950 a son of the late Robert M. and Bonnie Lee Swiger Boyce.

Surviving is one daughter, Berdina J. Shepherd, Pennsboro, one son Garry J. Boyce Jr. Smithburg the mother of his children, Mary Margaret Lowe Boyce, Smithburg, six sisters, Nila Spect, OH, Barb Robinson, Robin Baker, Salem, Mary Carey and Carol Benjamin, WA, Marsha Boyce, Greenwood, two brothers, Nile Boyce, Salem, Kevin Boyce, Smithburg, seven grandchildren, Bonnie, Jeremy, Garrett, Wyatt, Dalton, Jaedan & Zoey, three great grandchildren, Tyler, Aubry & Kaia. One brother, Phillip Boyce preceded him in death.

Mr. Boyce was owner and operator of B & B Welding. He was a certified mechanic and welder. Garry was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 1:00PM with Pastor David McCauley presiding. Interment will follow in the Christian Church Cemetery, Center Point. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Monday, December 23, 2013 after 11:00AM until time of service.
