George Lewis Obituary

George William Lewis, 54 of Halls Run Rd, Salem, departed this life on October 13, 2015. He was born on February 8, 1961 in Pennsylvania a son of the late Orville C. and Viola Louise Harris Lewis. On July 2, 1984 he married Sherry Lattea Lewis who survives.

Also surviving is one daughter Sharon (Chipper) Lewis and companion Brad Clevenger of Salem, granddaughter Rosalee Nicole Clevenger, "Papa's Baby Girl and the Apple of His Eye". Mother-in- law Sharon Lattea, Sister and Brother-in-Law Jennifer and Jason Clutter, Nephew Logan, Niece Macie Clutter, Brother-in-law Robert Lively and companion Effie, Roman Lattea, two brothers and one sister as well as three special friends, Ben McClain, Hal Davisson and Greg Jolly. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Leslie Nicole Lewis, three sisters, Denise McGuire, Regina Lewis and Cecilia Mayle, and father-in-law, Robert Lattea.

Mr. Lewis was retired from Judel Glass Company. He enjoyed working on cars, hunting, fishing and fixing things. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Nelson McClain presiding. Interment will follow in Center Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 after 11AM until time of service. Harbert Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Lewis family.
