Grace Ash (Powell) Ruppert

Grace Ash Ruppert, 85, of Salem passed away from cancer on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at her residence with family by her side. Grace was born July 30, 1936 in Chester, WV, daughter of the late Galen Powell and Wanda Hill Powell.  She retired from the Doddridge Board of Education as a school bus driver. She loved antiques and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sam Ruppert on Sept 4, 2006 after twenty years of marriage; one brother, Harry Powell; and one great grandson, Channing Robert Ash. Grace is survived by her three children, Galen R Ash and wife Becky, Kevin G Ash and wife Trina, Victor T Ash and wife Penny; four grandchildren, Curtis Ash and wife Shaylyn, Cody Ash and wife Shala, Justin Ash and wife Ashley, Traci Davis and husband Brent; six great grandchildren, Easton, Bowen, Carder, Jaxon, Josie, James; one brother, Kenneth Powell and wife Clodene, three sisters,  Naomi Johnson and husband Brent, Marlene Powell, Mary Bailes and husband Dean; like a sister, Ann Hawkins; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home - Salem, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM until time of Funeral services at 1:00PM with Albert E. Farley officiating.
