Gregory Lee Baer

Gregory Lee Baer, 63, of Carpenter St., Clarksburg departed this life on Friday, March 9, 2012 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Bedford, IN, a son of the late Carl Robert and Mary Evelyn Whitmore Baer. On December 3, 1977 he married Janet English Baer who survives.

Also surviving are one son, Andrew Lee Baer, Fairmont, one sister, Carol Caraway, Minden, LA, one brother, Mark Baer, Shreveport, LA., several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Baer was employed by Bombardier Aerospace as a Software Engineer with 22 years service. Gregory started his career as a radar technician, moved into general avionics, then into software engineering, teaching himself the whole way. Gregory was a kind, gentle man, highly intelligent, who lived his life quietly. He enjoyed fly fishing, stained glass, and was an avid reader of history. His first thought was always for his wife and son.
