Ina Lee "Irma" Elder

Ina Lee “Irma” Elder, 88 of West Union passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at her home with family by her side.

She was born May 8, 1936 in Salem, daughter of the late Clifford Elmer and Jettie L Martin Mayle.

Irma enjoyed cooking and gardening.  She loved spending time with her family.

Irma is survived by two children, Cecil E Elder of West Union; one daughter, Teresa Johnson and husband Mike of Sarasota, FL; four grandchildren, Calvin Ripley, Cecilia Anderson (Jeremy), Christina Torpey (Tom) and Mike M Johnson, Jr. (Cassie); three great grandchildren, Gabriela, Liam, and Leo sister-in-law, Phyllis Doddson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Irma was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Gene “Sunny” Elder on June 13, 2018; one daughter, Melinda Gene Elder; one grandson, Edward Elder; four brothers, Delmer Gifford Mayle, Jennings “Gene” Mayle, Walter “Gib” Mayle and Elmer Clifford Mayle.

Friends will be received at the Davis Funeral Home-Salem, W Main Street, Salem, WV on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 11:00 AM until time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mike Allen officiating.
