Irene Helen (Mark) Romagnoli

Irene Helen Mark Romagnoli, 91 of Salem passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at her residence with family by her side. She was born May 21, 1932 in Morgantown, daughter of the late George and Veronika Petrilak Mark. Irene graduated from Morgantown High School, Class of 1950 and Salem College with an associate degree of real estate with distinction in Dec 1982. She first worked at WVU in admissions and that is where she met the love of her life “Al” and they married on August 6, 1960. Over the years she also worked at Union National Bank, Salem Herald Newspaper and retired as an Owner/Broker of Romark Realty. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was very active. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso “Al” Louis Romagnoli Jr, on March 28, 2021. Irene is survived by three children, Mark Alfonso Romagnoli, Morgantown, Suzanne Michelle Malone and Paul, Morgantown/Salem, Stephen Peter John Romagnoli, Grafton; four grandchildren, Catherine Malone, Atlanta, GA, Alexis Malone, Colorado Springs, CO, Jackson Malone and Jennifer Malone, both Morgantown; several nieces and nephews. A Private Graveside Service will be held at the WV National Cemetery for Al and Irene at a later date. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory, Salem is handling the cremation and honored to serve the Romagnoli family.
