James Hickman Obituary

James “Jim” Ray Hickman, 75, of Salem, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at his residence. He was born on October 6, 1947 in Clarksburg, a son of the late Late Melvin and Waveline Fox Hickman.

Jim worked for the Nutter Fort Lions Club for over twenty years. He loved to hunt, fish, watch wrestling and he loved all animals, especially his cats.

Jim is survived by his four children, Melanie Chipps of Clarksburg, James Hickman and wife Rebecca of Salem, Jennifer Southall of Statesboro, GA, and Donald Hickman of Fairmont; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Eugene and Jennings Hickman; two sisters, Carol Hickman and Georgia Moran.
