Jamie Mitchell Shaffer, 49, of Buckeye Run Community gained his wings May 19, 2024. He was born September 23, 1974 in Warren, OH, son of Barbara Ann McKinney Shaffer of Salem and the late Terrence Mitchell Shaffer.
Jamie was retired CDL driver and tree worker. He loved his family and spending time with them above all. He enjoyed listening to music, playing guitar, and making people laugh with his corny “Dad” jokes, hanging out with his best friends Luke Carmichael and Tim Anderson.
In addition to his mother, Jamie is survived by one sister, Michelle “Shellie” Lynn Shaffer and companion Luke Carmichael, Big Flint; four children, Madison Shaffer and companion Kyle, Harrisville, Alex Jasovsky and companion Skyla, New Jersey, Katie Shaffer, West Union, Nathan Shaffer, West Union; five grandchildren, Keagan, Ryleigh, Layton, Oakley, and Ivy; nieces and nephews, Ottie Myer, Brandi Elliott and companion Matt, Jordan Elliott and companion Josh, Brandon Carder and companion Tori Maxon, Isaac Owens; great nieces and nephews, Kaydence, Rowan, Chandler, Grace; many aunts, uncles, cousins on both the Shaffer and McKinney side.
In addition to his father, Jamie was preceded in death by his sister, Angela Dawn Shaffer.
Per his request he will be cremated. A Celebration of Jamie’s Life will be held at the Doddridge County Park Oak Pavilion in the near future.
