Janet Ann (Childers) Anderson

Janet Ann Childers Anderson, 70, of Center Point, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Salem Center.  She was born on September 23, 1953 in Clarksburg, a daughter of the late Hayward and Elaine Ruth Ray Childers.

Janet graduated from South Harrison High School, Class of 1971. She was a CNA for over thirty years at Sunbridge, AmeriCare and today Salem Center. She enjoyed playing games on the cell phone, doing crossword puzzles and word searches, sitting on the porch, shopping, also doing embordering, needle point and crocheting and getting her nails done. She loved spending time with family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her three sons, Teddy Anderson and Julie, Clarksburg, Brian Anderson and Patricia, Reynoldsville, Harold “Jason” Anderson and Bambi, Salem; longtime companion, Harold “Whoozie” Smith; twelve grandchildren, Curtis Anderson and fiancé Allie, Devon Anderson, Kaitlynne Booher and Dustin, Kaden Anderson and fiancé Haley, Rilee Anderson, Zander Lacaria, Bella Lacaria, Mary Lipscomb and BJ, Lilly Anderson, Hunter Anderson and fiancé Valerie, Lane Anderson, and Emma Anderson; six great grandchildren, Cosima, Paislee, Weston, Damein, Titus, Rayven; three siblings, Nora Gump and Donald, Wallace, Kimberly Adams and  David, Richmond, VA, Joey Childers and Connie, Olathe, CO; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by one brother, Michael Childers.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home - Salem, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 3:00PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 7:00 PM with Pastor Chad Ash officiating.
