Jeddy Lyle Nicholas, 67, of Salem, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. He was born May 21, 1953 in Clarksburg, son of the late Joe and Mary Katherine Reed Nicholas.
Jeddy graduated from Bristol High School and served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a custodian at the Harrison County Board of Education for many years. In his free time, Jeddy enjoyed to hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He also was an avid Harley Davidson fan and rode bikes often.
Jeddy is survived by his loving companion of fifteen years, Betty Rosenberger Franklin; his children, Carrie Ann Subblefield and husband Allen, Bridgeport, Jeddy J Nicholas, Newton, IA; seven grandchildren, Katherine Watson, Brooklyn, Trinity, and Ethan Singleton, Gabrielle Westcott, Ryan and Madison Nicholas; three great grandchildren, Braelynn, Colton, Trelynn; sister, Mary Jo Davis, Salem, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jeddy was preceded in death by his wife, Amy Lou Friend Nicholas, in 2007; daughter-in-law, Heather Nicholas Gains; sister, Catherine Sue Cayton.
