Jimmy L. Tapp, 58, of Salem, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025 in Jane Lew. He was born on January 27, 1967 in LaFollette, TN, a son of Christy A. Jackson of Salem and the late Isaac Tapp. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather Gene Perine.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis Sides Tapp who he married on May 31, 2017.
He is also survived by eight children, Shannon Cottner, Charmaine Workun, Shyra Aaron, Chantal Michalski, Mark Workun, Danielle Lowery, Crystal Smith, Rochelle Stone; eight grandchildren, Adanna, Abbigale, Kylee, Braidan, Harlow, Holsten and Sean; three brothers, Marvin Tapp, Randy Allen and Eddie Allen.
Jimmy was a truck driver for 30 years and he enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family.
