Joyce Lorraine Jones

Joyce Lorraine Jones, 84, of Salem passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Morgantown Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on September 8, 1940 in Glassport, PA, daughter of the late Elmer F. and Elizabeth Kostura Furst.

Joyce worked as a cashier at Foodtown in New Jersey. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church, the ladies Air Force Auxiliary, and the VFF Aux 573.

Joyce is survived by her son, John “Jett” Terek, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA; one grandson, David Olah, Jr.; siblings, Elmer Furst, Jr. of Dunbar, PA, John Furst of Scott Dale, PA, Audrey McGinn of McKeesport, PA, Mary Briggs of Elizabeth, PA, Karen Goreck of Port Vue, PA, Nancy Furst of Elizabeth, PA, Cynthia Kukulka of Elizabeth, PA, and Pamela Pishney of McKeesport, PA.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, John Jones on November 2, 2009; one daughter, Susan Olah; one granddaughter, Aimee Olah; siblings, Francis Furst, and Deborah Donnely.

Per her wishes, she will be cremated.
