Karen "Sue" Hinton, 70 of Bridgeport, formerly of Salem passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at United Hospital Center with family by her side. She was born October 12,1952, in West Union, daughter of the late Johney and Mary Elizabeth Stull Cross.
Karen graduated from Doddridge County High School. She was a CNA and Day Care provider for many years. Karen enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her family. She attended Grace Baptist Church.
Karen is survived by three children, Angela Dawn Wagner and Michael, Anthony Louis Hinton and Gina, Ashley Rene French and Basil “Danny” all of Bridgeport; six grandchildren, Logan Wagner, Anthony Hinton, Zane Wagner, Owen French, Benjamin French and Landyn French; four sisters, Tressie Monigold, Dessie Burgess, Elizabeth Murphy, and Imogene Anderson; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by seven siblings, Doris Gaston, Robert “Bob” Cross, Bessie Roth, Charles “Bunker” Cross, Dorothy Nitz, Johnny Cross, and Mary “Kate” Cross
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home - Salem, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 3-7PM and on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 9:00AM until time of the Funeral Service at 11:00AM with Pastor Roger Fontaine and Pastor Paul Hickman officiating.
