Kathryn Louise Shugars

Kathryn L. Shugars, 60 of Tappan Rd. Bridgeport departed this life on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Clarksburg on July 9, 1953 a daughter of the late Delbert Dale Norman Sr. and Dorothy June Shaffer Norman. She is survived by her husband of 35 years Gary L. Shugars.

Also surviving is one daughter, Brooke Shugars-Preston and husband Scott, Goodyear, AZ, two sons, Jad Moore and wife Andrea, Grafton, Gary Clinton Shugars and fianc Desiree Martin, Fairmont, five grandchildren, Gage, Sammy, and Addison Moore, Jayden Martin and Ella Preston, two sisters, Donna Davis, Springfield, MO, Cindy Smith, New Milton, one brother, Delbert Dale Norman, Jr. Anaheim, CA. several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, Delbert Dale Norman, two sisters, Susan Sinclair, Debbie Vincent and her beloved Shih Tzu, Killer.

Kathryn was a former employee of Hope Gas Company with 23 years' service as a business office coordinator. She had worked also for Fairmont State University in Enrollment Services for 7 years. Kathryn enjoyed gardening, sewing and was a fabulous cook. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

At Kathryn's request she was cremated. A celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to the Shugars Family at 1925 Tappan Rd. Bridgeport, WV 26330.
