Kenneth Lee Truex

Kenneth Lee Truex, 78 of Salem passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022 at United Hospital Center.  He was born March 2, 1944 in Glen Dale, WV son of the late Charles Robert and Hilda Mae West Truex. He graduated from John Marshall High School in Moundsville, WV and served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a Coal Miner for many years and was last working for the United Mine Workers of America in the office doing consulting work. Kenneth enjoyed drag racing, working on and collecting show cars.  He is survived by his wife, Wanda Melinda Wright Truex whom he married on May 7, 2003; siblings, Richard Truex and Marla, Washington Lands, and A. Suzanne Jasinski, Moundsville; several nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held at the West Virginia National Cemetery on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 2:00PM with full military honors accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and the US Army Honor Guard.
