Kierstyn MaKay Sendling

Kierstyn MaKay Sendling, 20, of Salem passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024 at home with family by her side after her courageous battle with cancer. Kierstyn was born June 4, 2003 in Morgantown, daughter of Amanda Dawn Lynch Sendling of Salem and Gary Wayne Sendling II and wife Autumn, Shinnston.

Kierstyn graduated from Doddridge County High School, Class of 2021 where she played volleyball, and ran track. She enjoyed singing, listening to music, art, drawing, hanging out with her friends and family game night.   

In addition to her parents, Kierstyn in survived by four siblings, Leila Grace Sendling, Jackson Gray Sendling, Macklin Edward Sendling, and Vivian Kathleen Sendling; maternal grandparents, Rod and Mary Sanders Lynch, Salem; paternal grandmother, Ruth Bennett Sendling, Clarksburg; paternal great grandmother, Mary Shaw Bennett, Wallace;  two aunts, Kristy Owens and Kevin, Clarksburg, Melissa Ganoe and Larry, West Union; cousins Dylan and wife Heather and their daughter, Kimber, additional cousins, Gavin, Landon, Brooke and Desiray; additional grandparents, Julian and Lisa Galford, Salem; bonus family members, Rachel and Ryan Gooden and their children Forrest, Gunner, Beau and Oakley, Leah and Rece Hardman and their children Amaya and Freyja, Erin and Jerrod McAtee and their son Beckett, Liam Galford and fiancé Kaitlynn Rossbonus; stepmother, Brittany Bennett Taraskiewicz and Matthew, Morgantown; bonus step grandparents, James and Kathy Bennett, Princeton; bonus step family, Beven, Waylon and Laci.

Kierstyn is preceded in death by her grandfather, Gary Wayne Sendling; and aunt, Tina McCarty.

 Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home - Salem, 1999 W. Main Street, Salem, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 12 Noon-8PM and on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon with Pastor David Masto officiating.
