Leon Brent Ronnie Utter, Sr, 64, of Salem passed away April 12, 2011 following a sudden illness. He was born on April 3, 1947 in Salem a son of the late Edward and Clarice Pratt Utter. On April 5, 1966 he married Mary Sue Kearns Utter, his wife of 45 years who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Rhonda McDonald and husband Bill, Salem, Kimberly Sutton and husband Jeff, Salem (Jeff precedes him in death), Corinna Elder and husband Kenneth, Hepzibah, one son, Leon Brent Ronnie Utter, Jr., Pennsboro, fourteen grandchildren, Brian and fianc, India, Brent, Joey, Jenn, Samantha and husband James, Whitley, Tanisha, Celena, Olivia, Zach, Angel, Madison, Landon and Bodhi, one great granddaughter, Kendra, two former sons-in-law, Greg Cox and Everett Golden and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Joan Blake and Mary June Shrader preceded him in death.
Ronnie was a former employee of Judel Glass Company where he spent his entire career as a glass blower. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Ronnie enjoyed all outdoor activities; camping, hunting and fishing. He was Baptist.
At Ronnies request he was cremated. A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 2:00PM in the Salem Church of God with Pastor Mike Cox presiding. A time of gathering will be one hour prior to the service.
