Linda Kay (Davis) Boring

Linda Kay Boring, 75, of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Rosewood Nursing Home in Grafton.  She was born at home on February 7, 1950 in Salem, WV, daughter of the late Charles Everett and Madeline Lahoma Williams Davis.

Linda attended Bristol High School up to 11th grade. She married the love of her life Raymond “Jock” Boring on October 7, 1967. Linda worked at Salem International University as a line server for 20 years, she also worked at a bakery and a newsstand.  She enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband Jock, going to country concerts, she loved to relax and listen to country music along with her love of baking and cooking. She attended the Salem Tabernacle Church.

Linda is survived by one brother Gary Davis of Sun Valley, seven nieces; Teresa Davis, Connie Ferguson and husband Larry, Holly Davis Watkze, Lahoma Ash, Bethany Frame, Sierra Ash, Destiny Ash; one nephew; Josh Davis, eleven great nieces and nephews; Katelyn Ferguson, Amelia Starr Lattea, Savanna, Gabriella, Aubrianna, Rylee Benton, Keegan Don Ash Davis, Zander Dean Davis, James Michael Lattea, Bryceon Davis, Zachary Ferguson; one sister in law Louella Davis; and one ex-sister in law Alice Davis

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her husband Raymond “Jock” Boring; two brothers, Charles “Sonny” D. Davis of Waldo Run, David A. Davis of Salem.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home 1999 W Main Street, Salem on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 2:00PM until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 5:30PM with Pastor Joshua Davis officiating.
