Linda Moore Obituary

Linda Lavern Moore, 78, of Salem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the home of her son, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born on August 27, 1947, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Richard Wesley Flannery and Constance Wynonna Stutler Flannery.

Linda was a proud graduate of Victory High School, Class of 1965, and later attended Clarksburg Beauty Academy. She enjoyed working as a beautician for ten years before choosing the role that brought her the greatest joy—being a devoted homemaker, wife, and mother. She lovingly dedicated her life to raising her family, creating a home filled with warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. Her greatest accomplishments were never measured by a career, but by the lives she nurtured and the family she cherished.

She found happiness in life's simple pleasures. Linda loved reading a good book, working computer puzzles, crocheting beautiful keepsakes, and spending time camping with those she loved. More than anything, she treasured every gathering, every conversation, and every precious moment shared with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her gentle heart, caring nature, and unconditional love will remain a lasting gift to all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Gregory "Greg" Scott Moore of Salem and Traci Dawn Moore of Salem; four grandchildren, Courtney Minnick and Trevor, Gregory Moore II and Emily, Ben Moore and Shelby, and Susan Martin; nine beloved great-grandchildren, Ayden, Bentley, Owen, Colt, Lena, Hadley, Hailey, Hannah, and Watt, with one more precious great-grandchild expected soon; two sisters, Donna Mearns and Ray, and Beverly Anglin; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Robert Lee Moore, who passed away on October 9, 2007. They were united in marriage on June 24, 1966, sharing over forty-one years of love, devotion, and treasured memories together.
