SALEM Lona Katherine Davis, 85, a resident of Clarksburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Rt. 1, Wallace, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2008, in the United Hospital Center.
She was born on September 3, 1922, a daughter of the late Arthur and Theresa H. Perine Cain.
On September 28, 1940, she married Isaac H. Davis, who preceded her in death on July 13, 2000.
Surviving are two sisters, Juanita Davis and husband, Carson, of Wallace, and Lorraine J. Hutson, of Morgantown; a nephew, Douglas Hutson and wife, Billie, of Cascara Community; a niece, Beth A. Cober and husband, Randy, of Morgantown; three great-nephews, David A. Hutson, Ryan W. Hutson and David A. Andy Clump; three great-great-nephews, Derek and Garrett Hutson, and Nicholas Clump; and two great-great-nieces, Ava and Lily Clump.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and rug making. She had attended Doddridge County High School and was a Baptist. She was a loving wife, sister, sister-in-law and aunt and will be sadly missed by her family.
Friends may call on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at the Harbert Funeral Home, 287 W. Main St., Salem, from 4-8 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2008, at 11 a.m. with Reverend Robert Merritt officiating. Interment will follow in the K of P Memorial Park, Salem.
